HOW TO PLAN THE BEST WEDDING

How To Plan The Best Wedding | Perth Wedding Photographer

A beautiful wedding doesn’t mean a beautiful marriage. The two are not the same.

So often we hear couple stressed out and exhausted from the sheer effort of planning their day. They might have gone to a wedding of a friend or family member and feeling pressure to outdo and out shine.  There are so many things when it comes to a wedding you might feel you have to consider, book, plan or do.

We have 3 bridesmaids but 4 groomsmen, don’t we have to have even bridal parties? We want to do our first dance when we enter, but shouldn’t we do it after the cake cut? I would really like to spend the night before the wedding with my fiancé, but we must spend the night apart?

We will tell you something right now. There is nothing you must, should or have to do when it comes to your wedding.

A wedding is meant to be the best day of your life, but if you planned the best day of your life- how would it look?

Would you start the day getting ready with your closest friends, getting glammed up and pampered. Would you then go down to the church/park/beach and tell that person you want to love them for the rest of your life. Would you then celebrate long into the night surrounded by your family and friends?

Yes? Awesome! But it is okay if you would rather spork your eye out.

Would you rather wake up on a Greek Island beside the one you love, then get ready together before heading down to the court house to sign your lives to one another. Would you then spend the rest of the day sipping wine in the sunshine with your best friends?

Would you prefer waking up at 4am to meet the love of your life in an open field. Would you then go on a hot air balloon ride over the valley followed by a champagne brunch just for the two of you?

Would your prefect day involve something as simple as going to the court house and marrying your soul mate or something as elaborate as a 3 day fiesta for 200 people.

Too often people get so caught up in the process of wedding planning and what the day needs to be, they lose sight of what it is really about.

You and your beloved. Together. Forever in love.

So enjoy this moment. Enjoy the planning. Enjoy the adventure. But don’t ever lose sight of the reason you are planning this day. Choose a place that the both of your love, book the vendors that will add meaning to your day and order the food that will leave you most satisfied. Have the red dress if white if not your colour. Have the sunflower bouquet if they are your favorite flower. Embrace the uneven bridal party if it represents those you want to stand beside you.

If your dream day resembles a traditional wedding, that’s great, but if it doesn’t, that’s great too! Just make sure your day reflects who you are and who the two of you are as a couple.

The most beautiful part of a wedding is the marriage at the end of it.
