These sessions are where we get to know each other. You’ll learn how I work (and that you don’t actually need to know what to do with your hands). I’ll learn what makes you laugh together, how you hold each other, what your quiet moments look like. That relationship is what makes your wedding day photos feel effortless — because by then, you trust me, and I know you.

Most couples tell me they were nervous beforehand. Almost all of them say it was one of their favourite parts of the lead-up. There’s something about being photographed with intention — no timeline pressure, no guests waiting — that lets you actually be present with each other.

You become comfortable in front of the camera. Most couples haven’t been professionally photographed before. An engagement session is a low-pressure way to learn that it’s actually enjoyable — and that translates directly into more natural wedding photos.
